Aaron Dugger
Assistant Band Director
Mr. Dugger is thrilled to be joining the team at Coppell High School after spending 5 years as an Assistant Band Director at Prosper High School. Prior to Prosper High School, Mr. Dugger was an assistant director at Colleyville Heritage High School and Melissa High School. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Music Education. Mr. Dugger will be entering his 10th year of teaching. His ensembles have been consistent UIL sweepstakes winners and the Prosper Symphonic Band is a Citation of Excellence award recipient. The Prosper Mighty Eagle Band is a consistent BOA Regional and Super Regional finalist and has advanced to the Bands of America Grand National finals 2 times under Mr. Dugger's guidance. In addition, the Prosper Band returned to the UIL 6A State Marching Contest in 2023 and again in 2024.
In the summer, Mr. Dugger is a member of the brass staff of the World Champion, Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, a position he has held since 2017. Prior to teaching with the Bluecoats, he was a performing member from 2013-2015. Additionally, Mr. Dugger served on the brass staff for the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps in 2016. Mr. Dugger’s professional affiliations include the International Tuba/Euphonium Association, the Texas Music Educators Association, and the Texas Bandmasters Association. He lives in Lewisville with his 6-year-old boxer, Sophie.
