Kate Klontz
Associate Director of Bands - CHS9

Ms. Klontz holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. While at SFA, she preformed the Lumberjack Marching Band, the University Bands, and the Orchestra of the Pines. While she was there she studied with the Dr. Christina Guenther, Dr. David Campo, and Dr. Gene Moon.


In the summers of 2009 and 2010, Ms. Klontz served as a Drum Major for the 10-time World Championship Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. Under her leadership the corps placed 3rd in 2009 and 5th in 2010 at DCI World Championship Finals.


When she is not teaching you can find her at a local coffee shop studying music or attending concerts throughout the Dallas area. She has also been an employee for the 

Walt Disney World Company, serving as a head lifeguard for both Disney's Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.


Ms. Klontz's professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Associations and the Texas Bandmasters Association.
