Dear Arman,
I am so proud of how you're growing inside the band program. The other day when I watched the performance, it was the first time I focused on you rather than the band as a whole (I couldn't help it- mom made us sit in the worst possible seats, just so we could watch you the whole time), and I couldn't help but remember all the times you would try to mimic the marching technique in elementary school, or sing (scream) the "Catfish Row" woodwind part at the dinner table. I'm sure you are super excited to be finally living everything you imagined. I'm proud of how you've handled such different circumstances this semester, and I can't wait for everything to go back to normal so you can continue to make all those great memories you love and I loved about band.
Good luck at State, and remember, don't lean into those direction changes ;) Love you!
Sincerely,
Ashna Pathan
