Annie Chernow
Associate Director of Bands - Percussion

Ms. Chernow attended the University of Delaware, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. During her time at the University of Delaware, Ms. Chernow studied with Harvey Price, Jim Ancona, and Orlando Cotto. Ms. Chernow then earned a Master’s Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Minnesota – Duluth where she studied with Gene Koshinski and Tim Broscious.



Ms. Chernow performed as a member of the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps (Allentown, Pennsylvania) in 2012, 2013, and 2014, and the Cadets Winter Percussion in their Inaugural 2014 season. During her time as a member, the 2013 Cadets Percussion Program was awarded the prestigious Fred Sanford Award for Best Percussion, and CWP was awarded the Gold Medal at the 2013 WGI Open Class Championships. Ms. Chernow was named Cadet of the Year in 2014. Ms. Chernow is currently in her third year as staff member at the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps (Fort Mill, South Carolina) where she teaches the front ensemble. Ms. Chernow is proud endorser for Innovative Percussion and her affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association and the Percussive Arts Society.
